ASME SA556 A2 seamless feedwater heater tubes

ASME SA556 A2 seamless feedwater heater tubes

ASME SA556 A2 seamless feedwater heater tubes are carbon steel tubes that are designed according to the ASME/ASTM A556/A556M specification.

ASME SA556 A2 seamless feedwater heater tubes are carbon steel tubes that are designed according to the ASME/ASTM A556/A556M specification. This specification covers minimum wall thickness, seamless cold-drawn carbon steel tubes, including U-tubes, for use in tubular feedwater heaters.

The tubing sizes covered by ASME SA556 A2 shall be 5⁄8 inch to 1-1⁄4 inch [15.9mm to 31.8mm] outside diameter, inclusive, with minimum wall thicknesses equal to or greater than 0.045 in [1.1 mm]. The manufacturing process used for these tubes is the seamless process, which involves cold drawing.

ASME SA556 A2 seamless feedwater heater tubes are designed for use in feedwater heaters, which are heat exchangers used to preheat water before it enters a boiler to generate steam. These tubes have a high resistance to corrosion and are suitable for use in high-pressure and high-temperature environments.

ASME SA556 A2 Seamless Cold-Drawn Carbon Steel Feedwater Heater Tubes covers minimum-wall-thickness,seamless cold-drawn carbon steel tubes including bending into the form of U-tubes,, for use in tubular feedwater heaters.

ASME SA556 A2 tubing sizes covered shall be 5 ⁄ 8 to 1 1 ⁄ 4 -in. [15.9 to 31.8-mm] outside diameter, inclusive, with minimum wall thicknesses equal to or greater than 0.045 in. [1.1 mm].

Heat Treatment

Cold-drawn tubes shall be heat treated after the final cold-draw pass at a temperature of1200°F [640°C] or higher to ensure ductility satisfactory for rolling into tube sheets and to meet mechanical properties as specified.

If stress-relief anneal of the U-bends is specified, the anneal shall consist of heating the bent portion within a range of 1100 to 1200°F [585 to 640°C].

Product Analysis

When requested in the purchase order, a product analysis will be made by our from one tube or billet per heat.

【H】 Ceramic lined pipe

Ceramic lined pipe is made through self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) technique.

【H】 Cast basalt lined steel pipe

Cast basalt lined steel pipe is composed by lined with cast basalt pipe, outside steel pipe and cement mortar filling between the two layers.

【H】 Ceramic Tile Lined Pipes

Ceramic tile lined pipes have very uniform coating of specially formulated ceramic material that is affixed to the inner of the pipe.

【H】 Rare earth alloy wear-resistant pipe

The material of the rare earth alloy wear-resistant pipe is ZG40CrMnMoNiSiRe, which is also the grade of rare earth alloy steel.

【H】 Tubes Erosion Shields

Tubes Erosion Shields are used to protect boiler tubing from the highly erosive effects of high temperatures and pressures thereby greatly extending tube life.

【H】 ASTM A213 T91 Alloy Tube

The ASTM A213 T91 seamless tubes are primarily used for boiler, superheater, and heat-exchanger.
